Calling all writers! It’s SCrIBE time! Entries for submissions for The Imbewu Trust’s 2017 SCrIBE Scriptwriting Competition open on 31 March.
Scriptwriters will be pleased to hear that PANSA has extended the deadline for script submissions for the Festival of Reading of New Writing – the scriptwriting competition for new, emerging or experienced writers. The 2017 competition was made possible by a grant of R1.8 million from the National Lotteries Commission (NLC).
The Adam and Rosalie Small Award for Debutant/Debutante Writers is in honour of Adam and Rosalie Small for their contribution to South African literature, philosophy, education, and advocacy against social injustice. The Award will centre on South African themes that support diversity – in language, race, culture, age, gender and sexual orientation – and celebrate
Writers and Artists have until the 31st of December 2016 to make submissions to ArtAscent for the ‘Portraits’s programme. The theme ‘Portraits’ display the likeness, personality and mood of the person or creature being presented. Portraits can be expressed in symbolic, literal, modern, traditional, abstract, and completely unique ways.

Potential Hodder Fellows are writers, composers, choreographers, visual artists, performance artists, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts”.
