ACT x Humanitas Wellness Counselling
The Arts & Culture Trust (ACT), in partnership with Humanitas, is proud to announce the nationwide rollout of free counselling services for all South African artists, ACT alumni, and strategic partners — available from May 2025.
We are committed to supporting the mental well-being of the creative community nationwide. This collaborative agreement addresses the unique mental health needs of artists, ensuring their overall well-being. Research indicates that engaging in the arts can significantly benefit mental health, including stress reduction and increased self-expression. Nonetheless, the demands of the industry can negatively impact artists’ mental well-being, underscoring the importance of access to counselling services.
