The Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) in partnership with Soda World, the Dumisani Masilela Theatre and supported by the City of Ekurhuleni and the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture is pleased to invite you to the launch of South Africa’s first Smart Theatre. The exclusive Executive & Media Launch will take place at the Dumisani Masilela Theatre (DMT) in Germiston on 19 March 2025 from 13:00 to 15:30.
Designed to merge artificial intelligence (AI), mixed reality (MR), virtual reality (VR), and broadcast technology into theatre production, the Smart Theatre Programme will transform theatre, film, and digital content creation in South Africa. The initiative will serve as an advanced training hub for performers, writers, directors, and technicians, equipping them with the tools to create, distribute, and monetise their work across local and global platforms.
