THE ARTS & CULTURE TRUST SEEKS DYNAMIC PART TIME ADMIN INTERN.

The Arts & Culture Trust has been actively serving the arts and culture sector in all nine  provinces of South Africa for 28 years.  The main purpose is to increase the capacity of arts and culture initiatives thereby creating sustainable futures, through the development and investment in innovative, sustainable projects and programmes.

 

The ACT seeks the services of a young admin intern between the ages of 21 and 35 years to work on site at their offices based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. The part time position requires three full days a week over eight months on a contractual basis from May to Dec 2022.

 

Essential basic criteria required of all applicants is a bachelors matriculation pass or a degree in the arts plus fluency in English as well as computer literacy skills especially  in Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

This position involves general admin assistance including the answering of calls and reception duties; the scheduling of appointments and meetings; checking the office mailbox and the collation and  distribution of email; preparation of written communications including invoices and reports; writing and editing of documents from letters to reports and instruction documents, etc.  Duties also require the creating and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems; management of accounts, invoicing and conduct basic bookkeeping; the recording, writing and distribution of meeting minutes; co-ordination of the delivery and collection of ACT banners and promotional materials; updating the database;  support of the marketing and communications campaigns for ACT programmes. This includes assistance at ACT events. .
