by Tshidi Tshabalala – Leading SA publishing group Media24 Books is continuing its support of the Arts and Culture Trust’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature with sponsorship of the 2015 award, the recipient of which will be announced in Sandton on 2 November.
Media24 Books is the founding sponsor of the award, which has since 2012 served to recognise the extraordinary lifetime contribution of literary legends to artistic and cultural life in South Africa. Past recipients include Nadine Gordimer (2012), Elsa Joubert (2013) and André P Brink (2014).
“We’re delighted to continue our support of this prestigious award for another year,” says Eloise Wessels, CEO of Media24 Books. “Encouraging and promoting literary excellence is at the heart of our ethos and it is a privilege to help pay homage to writers who have made a long-lasting contribution to South African literature and enriched our lives with their body of work.”

The 2015 recipients of Lifetime Achievement Awards in the fields of the visual arts, theatre, arts advocacy and music will also be announced on 2 November, together with the recipients of the ImPACT Awards for Young Professionals in arts and culture.
